Having determined the services to be supplied and rental fees, marketing activities at SLC have geared up. As of January 1st 2018, 80 thousand m2 covered warehouse area will come into use. Once the second phase is completed, Turkey will have an important facility that has 255 thousand m2 covered warehouse area.
Receiving close attention of multinational industrial and logistics companies, SLC will make Turkey proud thanks to its customs, truck park, empty container terminal, project area, social areas, truck service stations, weighbridge services, green areas and linking roads.
Getting ready to host its guests, SLC is drawing attention due to its infrastructure that can boost the opportunities in the Black sea region as well as services it provides within the site such as general cargo, bulk cargo, project cargo and refrigerated transportation and storage services.
In addition to all these, when SLC starts operating which will set the bar for logistics sector to higher standards, mainly students from 19 Mayis University studying logistics and others will have the chance to do their internship and work afterwards.
Working diligently to complete the works to meet what was intended, SLC project was designed to connect it to three ports in Samsun via rail ways. Railroads within the facility will have completed by the opening date.
Once the Samsun-Kalin Railway Line Modernization Project is finalized, it will be easier to reach Iran and Mersin with regards to freight forwarding. Thus, Samsun will have a direct link to African and Far Eastern countries by means of connecting North to South.
Over 50 million Euros investment cost, SLC’s contribution to the national economy will be millions of Euros once its connection to main railway arteries is completed.
